Fall Is Here!
On Monday, September 25th, members of the Town and Country Garden Club arrived at The Aged Woman’s Home with rakes, pruning shears and spades. Several hours later, the last of the late summer garden was cleaned up and readied for the fall season. Club members along with two volunteer husbands, one a master gardener himself, also decorated the garden with bats, bales of hay, scarecrows, and welcoming fall signs.
A plethora of pumpkins of various sizes and shapes were placed strategically on the front steps and back patio. The final transformation of the summer garden to fall was complete with the addition of several orange and purple mums and a black cat with arched back appearing next to a bowl of Halloween candy in the Home’s main hallway. Thank you, as always to the Town and Country Garden Club, who, since 1957, has been providing the Home with seasonal decorations enjoyed by all the Home’s guests and visitors.
