Call to learn more

GivingTuesday, November 29, 2022, will soon be upon us. We hope you will consider donating to The Aged Woman’s Home in this season of giving.

Many hands make for light work, as our treasured volunteers continually remind us. This past weekend, volunteers from Georgetown Preparatory School returned to the Home for the first of two annual fall visits. The boys helped with a thorough garden cleaning and lunched with the Home’s Guests. Their presence lightened our spirits as well as our workload.

These young volunteers will return in early December to bring out the holiday decorations, set up the Christmas trees, and earn community service hours. Afterward, members of the Town and Country Garden Club will decorate the Home for the holiday season. They always put us in the holiday spirit!

Meanwhile, RBC Wealth Management will continue their much-anticipated annual donation of the Thanksgiving Dinner for Guests and Staff.  The Women of Christ Church, now back from their Covid hiatus,  will add to our good fortune with birthday and holiday gifts. All of these donations are hugely significant for everyone at the Home—the Board of Directors, Staff, and Guests. They make us grateful to be part of a larger community, whose generosity sustains and uplifts us.
