Spring is a busy time for gardening at the Home. On Tuesday, April 24th, two members of the Town and Country Garden Club (Sue Gale and Gail Wilkins) and one Master Gardener husband, James Gale, stopped by to inspect and spruce up the Home’s early Spring Garden. This year, they gave the garden an A, so we are excited to be off to such a good start.

The Club returns in May for their annual planting extravaganza. On planting day they dig, weed, prune, rake and plant annuals and a few additional perennials. In just a few short hours the garden is transformed into a color laden spectacle. After the planting, Garden Club members provide a lovely lunch for guests, their members and staff. We appreciate their volunteering, generosity and fellowship.

We are also excited to report that our 9 goldfish are swimming happily in the garden pond survived the winter.
