Ms. Jane Hanna is the Home’s newest member of the Board of Directors. Ms. Hanna brings with her over 38 years of experience as a nurse. She is a specialist in oncology nursing (BSN, RN, OCN) and previously served as Georgetown University Hospital Pancreatic Disease Program coordinator. Ms. Hanna’s past work experience includes direct patient care, clinical research, case management, patient and community education and outreach, program development, and administration. Guests and staff are excited to have Ms. Hanna’s experience and caregiver-focused attention available here at the Home.

Ms. Hanna has surveyed and met with our Guests to determine what group and individual focused education and advocacy needs they might have or are interested in pursuing. She will be giving a quarterly talk on a variety of subjects relating to senior women and their needs at the Home. Ms. Hanna’s patient and caregiver focus with an emphasis on education and empowerment is a wonderful fit for the Home’s independent women. Her expertise will help Guests age in place with dignity, grace, and good health. Her current role, as MedStar Cancer Institute Patient Referral Liaison also brings a wealth of valuable information to the Home.
